Privacy Policy North Carolina Terms
Effective date January 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Muddy Girl Mold Inspections (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you request or receive mold inspection services in North Carolina, interact with our website, or communicate with us. This policy is governed by applicable North Carolina and federal law and is intended to be consistent with state guidance on environmental and inspection records.
Information We Collect
Contact and identity information
We collect name, email address, phone number, and property address to schedule inspections, prepare reports, and communicate about services.
Inspection data and media
We collect inspection notes, test results, measurements, photographs, and videos taken during inspections to document conditions and support reports.
Payment and communications
We collect billing details (processed via third‑party processors), and retain records of emails, messages, and phone calls related to scheduling and support.
How We Use and Share Information
We use personal information to perform inspection services, prepare and deliver reports, schedule appointments, process payments, and comply with legal, regulatory, and insurance obligations. We share data only with service providers (labs, cloud hosts, scheduling platforms) and when required by law or to protect safety. We do not sell personal information.
Retention of Inspection Records in North Carolina
Indefinite retention for hired clients
If you hire Muddy Girl Mold Inspections, we will retain the personal information and inspection records associated with that engagement indefinitely unless otherwise required by law. We will not permanently delete or purge personal information associated with a paid inspection. This approach aligns with North Carolina recordkeeping practices for inspection and environmental records and local retention schedules used by inspection departments.
Scope of retained records
Retained records include customer identity and contact details, property address, inspection reports and test results, invoices, and photographs and media.
Photographs and Media Use
Public use and protections
We may use inspection photos for marketing, educational, training, and portfolio purposes on our website and social media. When images are used publicly we will not publish client names, contact details, or property addresses, will strip metadata (including GPS), and will crop or blur any features that could reasonably identify occupants.
Consent
We will request your written or electronic consent before using photographs of your property for public marketing. If you decline or withdraw consent prior to public posting, we will not use the images publicly. Requests to remove already‑posted images will be honored where feasible, though removal from third‑party platforms may not be immediate.
Security Children International Transfers
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we transfer data outside the United States we will apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
Your Rights and Contact
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights such as access, correction, and restriction. Requests to delete inspection records associated with a paid engagement will not be honored due to our indefinite retention policy. We may require identity verification before responding.
